ASUU STRIKE: Now that FG stop lecturers salary; what next?

The current imbroglio between the Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU and the Federal government seems to be going messier everyday. The hope to end the industrial action look so bleak as none of the party is ready to sheathe its sword.

The ASUU remains resolute, insists FG must fulfill the agreement it reached with union in 2009; the FG on the other hand maintained that the government is insolvent to meet ASUU’s demand. Various groups have mediated but to no avail.

Now that the FG has made his threat right by withdrawing the salary of the lecturers; will ASUU call off the strike? If not, when will this mess in our tertiary education ended?

Where two elephants fight, the grass suffers.
